NAIDOC Week

What a busy week we have had learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, the beautiful culture and amazing achievements of indigenous people.

The Joeys and Possums took creative inspiration from the way Aboriginal peoples utilise the earth even through artistic expression. By adding sand into paints allowed the children to experience a different texture and effect whilst being exposed to new ways of creativity.

The Koalas looked more in depth at the this years theme “HEAL COUNTRY”. They had open discussions about what does it mean to care for country?, why do we need to care for country? how can we care for country? and how are we connected to country.
